Stewart Hall, Jackson State University

Stewart Hall at Jackson State University, Jackson, MS, was one of the original dormitories built on the campus in 1961 to house freshman and sophomore students. The five floor dormitory will undergo a major interior renovation as well as some exterior renovation work. The interior will involve a complete demolition of all finishes, asbestos abatement, and mold remediation work. A total of ninety new dorm rooms will be created with shared laundry and shower facilities on each floor. A new elevator will be installed to meet ADA compliance along with all new mechanical, electrical, plumbing and sprinkler systems. The exterior will undergo a total window replacement, partial roof replacement, and new site utilities.

Construction (Renovation): All new interior finishes; new exterior storefront windows, painting, roofing and underground site utilities.
